Yes, the high tech fish bowl in the Big Brother house was a biOrb. The biOrb was home to three fantail goldfish that the housemates have named Dermot, Davina and Big Brother.

According to Feng Shui doctor Paul Darby who also advised on Big Brother 2 & 3, the round shape and moving water in the biOrb helps good energy flow around buildings, fish are also supposed to bring success.

The biOrb was installed by Designer Aquariums who collectively have over 50 years experience in installing and maintaining aquariums. They provided the housemates with instructions on feeding and cleaning. Unfortunately the fish were overfed which caused the fish to become ill. Not wanting to expose any more fish to the same risk the biOrb was removed from the house.
