Keeping Platys
Background:Xiphophorus is a genus of freshwater fish in family Poeciliidae. These species are native to areas of Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, and especially Mexico. All small fishes, they reach maximum lengths of 2.5–14 cm. Members of the genus Xiphophorus are Live-bearers, meaning that they reproduce via internal fertilization
Keeping Platys:
Platys grow to a maximum of 2 ½ inches (females) they are lively and peaceful making them an ideal community fish. To avoid babies keep only the smaller males.
