What Food for Tropical Fish
The Hikari Tropical Pellets is suitable for all Tropical Fish. The pack contains three types of pellets each with different indispensable nutrients.We have tested a large number of different fish foods and believe that the Hikari range is the best available.
1. Manufactured using a modern Bio-Technology process which aids your tropical fish in maintaining brilliant colors in indoor aquariums year round.
2. Contains red, green and yellow granules each with different indispensable nutrients your fish require.
* Red Granules - Animal origin Granules
Include high quality fish meal and well balanced amino acids offering excellent palatability.
* Green Granules - Plant origin Granules
High in plant matter and dietary fiber which helps maintain healthy growth rates.
* Yellow Granules - Vitamin & mineral Granules
Helps reduce stress while activating the immune system to reduce the chances of disease.
3. A semi-floating food, ideal for surface and mid-water feeders, that will not cloud your aquarium water.
How much Food:
Measure out food carefully, do not use a ‘pinch’. There are no exact rules for feeding fish but as a rough guide:
1-3 cm shoaling fish (minnows, danios, neon tetra) - 8-10 tropical micro-pellets
We only recommend Hikari Pellet food. Flake food dissolves very quickly and can lead to cloudy water. Eating flakes requires the fish to spend a lot of time at the water surface increasing the amount of air which could be swallowed by the fish.
