biOrb Halogen Light Unit

The light unit was designed as a safe and easy to fit accessory for your biOrb. It adds sparkle to the biOrb by illuminating the colour of it’s inhabitants and assisting the photosynthesis of real plants.

POINTS TO REMEMBER

• The light should be left on for a maximum of 6 hours
• Do not block the air vents or let water enter the light unit
• Use only Reef-One 10 watt bulbs - higher wattage will permanently damage the light unit.

INSTALLATION

UNPACK THE biOrb LIGHT UNIT AND CHECK PARTS LIST

Remove the biOrb evaporation tray (if light purchased separately). It is no longer needed but it is worth keeping in a safe place in case you choose to remove the light at a later date. Rest the light unit into the hole in the lid.

Older style light units will ‘click’ into position. To remove these it is necessary to firstly remove all four screws - as shown in replacing the bulb.
This does not apply to newer light units which are looser fitting.
Do not force apart.

Always ensure the anti-glare shield is positioned correctly.

The “wet” side of the biOrb light will need cleaning when a service is carried out. Lime scale deposited by the bubbles will build up on the light lens. Deposits can be removed with the rough side of the cleaning pad supplied with the service kit.
